Dr. Breedveld has been practicing veterinary medicine for over 20 years. After receiving her B.S. degree from The Ohio State University, she continued to complete her M.S. degree at the University of Kentucky and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University in 1992.
After practicing in a mixed animal clinic in southeastern Wisconsin for 6 1/2 years, Dr. Breedveld came to the Sawtooth Animal Center in the winter of 1999. She has a special interest in internal medicine for dogs and cats and she also treats pocket pets, reptiles, some birds, and wildlife.
Having grown up with dogs, cats, horses, goats, and reptiles, and various rehabilitating injured and orphaned wildlife and wild birds, Dr. Breedveld has always had an interest in animal medicine. Dr. Breedveld still has a menagerie of dogs, cats, horses, mules, and a large iguana at home. Her other hobbies include hiking, horseback riding, Nordic skiing, snowshoeing, and gardening.
